At Pembroke Square Dental in Pembroke Pines, Florida, we are pleased to offer partial dentures for our clients looking for replacement teeth. If you still have one or more natural teeth in your upper or lower jaw, partial dentures may be a good choice for you.

These dentures have replacement teeth which are connected to a pink or plastic base that is the color of your gums. This denture may have clasps that connect a metal framework to your teeth or some other connector with a more natural appearance. Instead of clasps, these are known as precision attachments. Your removable partial denture may require crowns on your remaining teeth to help for a better fit.

Always follow our dentist’s instructions for caring for your dentures. Adjustments to your partial denture may need to be made over a period of wearing them because your mouth changes with age, and this can affect how the denture continues to fit. You may notice that the aging process causes your bone and gum ridges to scale back and shrink.

You will want to see your dentist regularly to ensure that your dentures continue to fit correctly. You don’t want ill-fitting dentures to leave you with infected gums or oral sores. Should your dentures become loose, see your dentist as soon as possible to ensure a healthy fit.

Call our office immediately if:
–Your denture comes loose
–If your denture breaks
–If your denture incurs a crack or chip

It is never a good idea to try to adjust or fix your dentures yourself. We can often make simple adjustments or repairs fairly quickly unless the damage is more complicated.

If you have missing teeth in your smile and would like to know more about your denture options, you can schedule a consultation with our dentists by calling 954-437-6400 today. Drs. Abdelmonem and Di Giorgio and our team are ready to assist you with your oral health!
