You need to understand what is causing your dry mouth and and address it before further damage to your teeth and gums can occur.

To help produce additional saliva in your mouth, try chewing sugarless gum after meals, using mouthwash or eating watery foods that are extremely crunchy. Furthermore, you should talk with your doctor about medications that are known to produce dry mouth as a side effect. This can include painkillers, diuretics, antihistamines and decongestants. Dry mouth can lead to tooth decay, cavities, and gum disease and issues breathing and swallowing, It can also cause sore throats and difficulties chewing foody.
